Control your PC running on Microsoft Windows with your Android smart phone App Microsoft Remote Desktop

Ever wanted to urgently fetch a file on your computer running on Microsoft Windows while you were miles away.  Upto now this was possible only to connect your Android smart phone through third party clients like SplashTop Remote Desktop or GoToMyPC. Microsoft has now launched its own little App called Microsoft Remote Desktop for Android smart phones and tablets which lets you control your Windows run PC.

The App in itself may be able to do little but in emergency situations you can open the PC desktop, view file manager, pull out important files that you may want or stream and download a video or song.  The only problem is setting up the connection between your PC and smart phone.  The process is little technical and the first time setup can take up your plenty of time.  Microsoft has put up a help page here for the setup process.

However once installed and correctly set up, the App works very smoothly. As pointed above, Microsoft Remote Desktop allows you to use your Android device to remotely pull up your desktop, giving you the ability to search through for files and use other features on your computer even when you're away. You can also stream video and sound from your computer to your device, making it easy to enjoy media files, as well.

If you are interested in connecting your Windows PC from your Android devices, download the Microsoft Remote Desktop from Google Play here.   The following Microsoft OS can be controlled through Microsoft Remote Desktop :
