Step 1 - Download ODIN v3.09 to your computer, once it's downloaded, extract its zip file.

  1. Power off your Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime phone.

  1. Turn your phone off completely.
  2. Boot to recovery mode, press these buttons; Volume Up + Home + Power to get yourself into that mode.
  3. Inside the recovery mode choose this option; wipe data / factory reset continued with rebooting your phone.

If your phone doesn't boot into normal mode, and get stuck in animation logo / bootloop. Perform the factory reset then, be sure you already have backups beforehand.
  1. Power off your phone completely.

Step 3- Now boot your phone to download mode, by powering it off completely, then press and hold these buttons; Volume Down + Home + Power. When you see a warning message, then press the Volume Up to continue.
Step 4 - Now click on the Odin.exe you previously downloaded to your computer to open the tool. Then connect your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to your PC.
Step 5 - If succeed, a message saying Added!!! will be displayed, and your ID:COM box will become yellow.

Install G850FXXU2COD4 (XXU2COD4) On Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-G850F

So glad to inform this post for you because the International Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-G850F is now receiving the official Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OTA update, under build number G850FXXU2COD4 (XXU2COD4). The update is currently pushed to either OTA or Samsung KIES worldwide.

Of course you probably in waiting list because you are here now. Some users may already see its availability on their phone through OTA and some don't so if you haven't seen it, you are invited to manually install the firmware to your beloved Galaxy Alpha.

Preconditions.
  • Keep in mind that the G850FXXU2COD4 (XXU2COD4) Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OTA is for Samsung Galaxy Galaxy Alpha G850F only. So don't install it if yours is not that phone. Check your phone model by heading to Settings -> About phone, if it's written SM – G850F on model number then you can continue.
  • Prepare your USB cable and Windows based computer.
  • Have already installed a Samsung USB drivers and update it as well.
  • Do not forget to also enable USB debugging mode on Android of your phone.
  • Disable Samsung KIES and antivirus temporarily so they won't mess the flashing process.

How to update International Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-G850F to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OTA G850FXXU2COD4 (XXU2COD4) firmware


Step 1 - Download and then extract the G850FXXU2COD4 zip file. See the tar.md5 extension file that's the firmware. Save it on Desktop of your computer to be easily found.

Step 2 - Now download and extract ODIN v3.09, to be used later for flashing the firmware.

Step 3- We will need to enter to the Download Mode now, turn off your phone then press and hold these buttons altogether Volume Down + Home + Power. A message as warning will appear on your phone's screen. Just use Volume Up to continue entering to that mode.
Step 4 - You need to launch Odin now, just click on the Odin.exe you downloaded earlier to your computer. And then connect your phone to computer.
Step 5 - A message saying Added!!! will appear if the connection is successful. And the ID:COM will turn to yellow.

Step 7 - Now browse the firmware file with .tar.md5 as its extension.

Step 8 - Do not forget to select Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.

Step 9 - You can now press the Start button for the installation to begin.

Step 10 - The flashing process is beginning now, just wait til it's finish. Your phone will take rebooting automatically and when you see your phone's Home screen just unplug your phone from USB cable.

Install I9505XXUHOD7 (XXUHOD7) On Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 LTE (Guides)

Samsung has recently released the latest build update based on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop, namely I9505XXUHOD7 (XXUHOD7) to empower the International version of Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 LTE and the build should likely be available on either Samsung KIES or OTA update, you can check the both features all together now.

However if you prefer the manual ways or there is no notifications yet on either on Samsung KIES or OTA, then you can stop waiting and prepare yourself to flash the I9505XXUHOD7 build manually. With the help from the compiled instructions here, your phone will end up running on the Android 5.0.1 Lolliop with a lot of features to escalate its performances. You'd be happy.

However before we get into the flashing instructions it's better to read the following few points.
  • Remember that I9505XXUHOD7 Android 5.0.1 Lollipop is for International Galaxy S4 I9505 LTE. Do not flash it on any other model. Make a precaution move to know about your device's model by going to Settings -> About phone, be sure that GT – I9505 is written on model number.

How to install I9505XXUHOD7 (XXUHOD7) Android 5.0.1 Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 LTE


Step 1 - Download the XXUHOD7 software, and then extract the file, and you will see the tar.md5 extension. I suggest you keep the file on Desktop to be found easily.

Step 2 - Download ODIN v3.09. you will need this Samsung tool to install the I9505XXUHOD7 build.

Step 3- Now you need to boot into the download mode, by firstly shut down your phone then press these three buttons altogether Volume Down + Home + Power altogether then when a warning message appear, release the three buttons. And then press the Volume Up to confirm entering the Download Mode.

Step 4 - Open the Odin now, and then plug your International Samsung Galaxy S4 to computer (remember do this when your phone's in download mode).
